DSS and InteliChart Partner to Offer Patient Engagement Capabilities in Juno EHR

November 4, 2019 | By Wendy Bartlett

Document Storage Systems, Inc. (DSS), a leading provider of health information technology (HIT) solutions, announced that it has partnered with InteliChart, leading provider of patient engagement and population health software solutions, at HIMSS 2019 in booth #5559.

Through the agreement, InteliChart’s Patient Portal solution is now integrated into DSS’ Juno EHR, a proven, scalable, open-technology EHR solution designed to enhance patient outcomes for Acute Care, Behavioral Health and Public Health.

The Patient Portal is 2015 MU3 Certified and meets all MIPS requirements. It also integrates and aggregates data into a clinical registry, allowing patients to access all of their data in a single portal.

“Empowering patients to best manage and optimize their care is a critical element in improving care outcomes, and reducing hospital readmissions,” said Mark Byers, CEO of DSS. “By partnering with InteliChart, we are further bringing the vision of Juno EHR being the best patient-centric solution to life.”

With this new patient engagement capability built into Juno EHR, patients can better manage their health through a dynamic patient portal that enables them to:

  • Stay in touch with providers using secure messaging.
  • View, request, and reschedule appointments.
  • View detailed lab results and history.
  • Manage other family member’s accounts.
  • View and refill all medications.

“Successful patient engagement will enable patients to stay involved in their care as both a patient and a consumer, leading to desired patient behavior and healthy patient outcomes,” said Gary Hamilton, CEO of InteliChart. “We’re thrilled to partner with DSS to deliver our patient engagement solution as part of Juno EHR. There are a lot of synergies between our organizations and we’re happy to align with another technology leader focused on delivering solutions designed for scalability, interoperability, and innovation.”

In addition, patients can view lab results, and communicate with providers securely through a mobile app available for Android and iOS.

Designed by care providers, Juno EHR provides a thoughtful user experience, and streamlined navigation with key clinical data always visible with its Common User Access Framework with fewer clicks. Just a swipe of the mouse data can be available for use in the care planning and documentation process, saving time for the care givers to focus on patient care.

The Juno solution addresses Patient Access and Engagement, core clinical process with Flowsheets, Surgical Management, Immunization Management, Pharmacy, Imaging, Laboratory integration, Emergency Department, Urgent Care and owned ambulatory clinics.

DSS will officially launch Juno EHR at HIMSS 2019 in booth #5559, and will showcase how it streamlines and enhances clinical documentation, patient engagement, and patient access. Here are more insights into how Juno EHR offers enhanced usability to better empower providers.
